Afro-Dancehall artists seem to be the most consistent acts to come out of Ghana. Every day there is a new video from either Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy. The guys do not stop working!
Anyway, check out the video for Stonebwoy’s latest single Hero.
Ghana has had its fair share of female dominance from Mzbel to Eazzy to Tiffany to Kaakie to name a few. This time round we have the 90s bad gyal Ebony Reigns.
Ebony first stepped on the scene about two years ago with her single Dancefloor however the buzz for the Afro-Dancehall diva has really started to kick in this year after the release of her singles Poison and Sponsor.
The unapologetic 20 year old is gaining a huge buzz for her sultry lyrics and “Bad Gyal” persona and as if to keep tongues wagging she releases the provocative new single Date Ur Fada.
As we get to the end of the year which marks party season in Ghana I’m almost certain this will go down as one of the anthems for the ladies..
Take a listen and let me know what you think..
You know… I don’t think Stonebwoy gets the recognition he deserves as an artist. He consistently has new music and never has any drama around him. He seems like a really nice lad.
The Bhim Nation front man links up with the UK’s very own Kojo Funds for his latest single Falling Down. The video was shot here in London and was directed by WOWA.
Take a look..
I genuinely can’t keep up with Shatta Wale. Over a span of 2/3 years he has released a new single or video at least once a week (Maybe even more). Before I can even fully get to listen to a single he is on to the next. The man does not stop!!
Anyway.. Check out the video for his latest single Umbrella directed by Will Drey.
This song has been out for over a month or so now and was one of the biggest songs in Ghana this Easter. The Shatta Movement boss Shatta Wale is still at it and this time he introduces us to some of his new artists under his SM4Lyfe Records label on the single Taking Over. The Video was directed by Sire Choppenson and shot on location in Accra.
Check out the video for the single Taking Over featuring Joint 77, Addi Self & Captan
WizKid finally gives us a visual for his latest single Come Closer featuring Drake. The two collaborated last year on Drakes hit single One Dance and have come together again this time on Wiz’s new single. The video was directed by Daps and shot in LA. Unfortunately Drake did not make an appearance in the video but YES to all the various types of chocolate ladies involved. This is MUCH better than Daddy Yo..
Check out the video below…
Hate him or love him there is no stopping Shatta Wale or the Shatta Movement, as he consistently releases music! This time, the self proclaimed Afro Dancehall King links up with Nigeria’s very own Burna Boy for his single Hosanna. The video was shot in Accra, Ghana and directed by Lex MacCarthy
If you managed to keep your shoulders still throughout this track I applaud you!
Check out the video below..
If there is one artist minding his business and staying in his own lane in Ghana it is Stonebwoy, I’m pretty sure he has a new video every other week I can rarely keep up nowadays. Talk about a hard worker!
Check out the new visual for his latest single Problem directed by Faido Mugaba. I’m taking a wild guess and assuming this video was shot in Kenya just because I know Stonebwoy spent some time there last month working on some music projects with quite a few artists including Nigeria’s Yemi Alade and R&B heartthrob Trey Songz.
