Another video that completely missed me.. But one of the songs I have had on repeat for a long while..
DMW signee Mayorkun is currently riding the wave of his successful hit single Mama that was released earlier this year. The visual for the Kiddominant produced single was shot by none other than Mr Clarence Peters.
Check it out…
Ok, so.. This video came out in May but I honestly did not see it until this week. Nigerian rapper Small Doctor’s popular hit single Penalty has been tearing up the weddings and parties I have been to recently. When I first heard the single I initially thought it was a remix of DJ Malvado Feat. Eddy Tussa – Zenze only to later discover that it was a full blown single on its own.
Directed by Unlimited L.A check out the video for Penalty below..
You know… I don’t think Stonebwoy gets the recognition he deserves as an artist. He consistently has new music and never has any drama around him. He seems like a really nice lad.
The Bhim Nation front man links up with the UK’s very own Kojo Funds for his latest single Falling Down. The video was shot here in London and was directed by WOWA.
Take a look..
So.. When I first heard Maradona a couple of months back I was convinced it was a South African house song. I did not know the artist behind the track was Nigerian newbie Niniola!
Anyway the self professed Nigerian queen of Afro-House is back again this time with her new single Sicker. The single was produced by Sarz and the video was directed by Clarence Peters. I must say she looks GREAT in this video. Can you say LOOKS?
I actually like what I’ve been hearing from Niniola so far. I’m very keen to see how she progresses on in the scene. Her start kind of reminds me of how Yemi Alade came onto the scene, a little unique and fun. If she really does want to stick with an Afro -House sound however she may want to go down to South Africa and get with Heavy K, Uhuru and all them guys. That would be something! But until then working with Sarz is just as good, he’s one of the best out of Nigeria.
Check out the fun video below!
Both the stylist and Clarence Peters done very well on this video! I love the colours
Now.. If you follow me on my personal Twitter you would know I was not a fan of Wiz’s latest album “Sounds From The Other Side”. I just felt like it was rushed and didn’t do the job it potentially could have done. Maybe my expectations were just too high for his major label debut but I felt like it was just a basic generic album with big feature names and no sense of direction.
Anyway, ahead of his Royal Albert Hall show this Friday Wiz releases a new track (That may or may not have been part of the album session) this time featuring Future entitled Everytime. The single was produced by Shizzi (I really should write up a blog post about why I was disappointed in the album because one point includes the lack of great African producers we know Wiz works well with).
Check it out and let me know what you think..
